ERCP Treatment
Advanced ERCP for Bile & Pancreatic Disorders
ERCP is a highly specialized procedure used to diagnose and treat problems in the bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreas. Dr. Manish C Kak is one of the few gastroenterologists in Ghaziabad and Delhi NCR skilled in advanced therapeutic ERCP.
ERCP is prescribed for:
- Obstructive jaundice
- Bile duct stones
- Pancreatic duct blockage
- Bile duct strictures
- Post-surgical bile leaks
- Suspected pancreatic tumors
The procedure is done under sedation and requires short hospital observation. A side-viewing endoscope is passed through the mouth into the duodenum. Using X-ray guidance and contrast dye, Dr. Kak identifies blockages and performs treatment—such as stone removal, stent placement, sphincterotomy, or biopsy—during the same session.
ERCP usually takes 30–45 minutes. Patients may need to stay for monitoring for a few hours, depending on their condition. They are advised to follow soft diet for 24 hours and report any abdominal pain.
ERCP performed at Kak Liver and Gut Center ensures exceptional precision, minimal complications, and rapid recovery. It avoids the need for open surgery and is a major advancement in biliary and pancreatic care.
